Scholarship Criteria for Kerala Engineering Courses at Aakash 2020-2024

 

Category-A (A student can avail any ONE of the scholarships in Category - A, whichever is higher)

(I) Scholarship based on Admission cum Scholarship Test (ACST*) or NEST, whichever is higher

(II) Scholarship based on Class VIII / IX School Exam Performance where Marks / Grade system is applicable (Merit Scholarship)*

*The Scholarship Criteria will be based on last qualifying School / Board Exam.

 

(III) Scholarship based on Class X/XII Board Exam performance where Marks system is applicable (Merit Scholarship)*

(V) Scholarship based on performance in Competitive Exams like NTSE & KVPY

(VII) a. Based on score in JEE (Advanced)*

b. Based on score in JEE (Main)*

Meaning of Scholarship (Scholarship means Fee Concession; Fee Discount; Fee Waiver): If at any point of time government decides to charge GST on the scholarship / concession amount/fee waiver and in prize money, then it shall be borne by the students / parents / guardians.

Note: Maximum scholarship eligibility on tuition fee would be 100%.

 

Category-B (A student can avail any ONE of the scholarships in Category - B, whichever is higher)

Scholarships for Ex-Aakashians*

1 Ex-Aakashian (R1)

This Scholarship on tuition fee will be given to Ex-Aakashians who have already enrolled in our Two year Classroom Course / One year Regular Course at any of centres / branches of Aakash Institute. They must have paid full course fee. Left out / Droppers will not be given this benefit.

The students will have to submit the proof for the same.

2 Ex-Aakashian (R2)

Those students who have enrolled in our Short Term Classroom Courses (Crash Courses / Test Series Courses) shall be given this scholarship on tuition fee.

They must have paid the full course fee. Left out / Droppers will not be given this benefit. Such students should submit the photocopy of fee receipt issued to them at the time of admission in crash course.

3 Ex-Aakashian (DLP & Test Series)

This Scholarship on tuition fee will be given to Ex-Aakashians who have enrolled in our One year / Two year long Distance Learning Programs (DLP) or Test Series Courses.

They must have paid the full course fee. Students who have paid only the booking amount or registration fee etc. will not be given this benefit. Such students should submit the photocopy of fee receipt issued to them at the time of admission in crash course.

4 Ex-Aakashian (Foundations)

Students who have enrolled in Aakash Foundations classroom courses are also eligible for this scholarship.

The students will have to submit the proof for the same.

5 Ex-Aakashian (Aakash Live)

Students who have enrolled in One year / Two year long Aakash Live courses are only eligible for this scholarship. They must have paid the full course fee. Left out / Droppers will not be given this benefit.

The students will have to submit the proof for the same.

6 Ex-Aakashian (iTutor)

Students who have enrolled in One year / Two year Long premium Aakash iTutor courses are eligible for this scholarship. They must have paid the full course fee. Left out / Droppers will not be given this benefit.

The students will have to submit the proof for the same.

Meaning of Scholarship (Scholarship means Fee Concession; Fee Discount; Fee Waiver): If at any point of time the government decides to charge GST on the scholarship/concession amount/fee waiver and in prize money, then it shall be borne by the students / parents / guardians.
Note: It's the responsibility of the student to apply for the above mentioned concession criteria at the time of admission. In case, he /she does not apply for the same for whatsoever reason, the concession will not be granted / given or adjusted at later stage. All students will abide by this policy.

 

Category-C (A student can avail any ONE of the scholarships in Category - C, whichever is higher)

Scholarships for Other Categories*

1 Single Parent / Divorcee This Scholarship on tuition fee will be given to those students who have lost their father and their mother is the only single earning member in the family. Proper application and proof in this regard will have to be submitted by the mother. This benefit will be given to the wards of Female Divorcee also (Attach Proof). 5%
2 Sibling This Scholarship on tuition fee will be given to those students (Sibling) whose brother or sister is currently studying in classroom course with us. In this case, scholarship will be given to the student who is taking admission and not to the student already studying in Aakash. However, in case, if two brothers/sisters take admission together at the same time, then both will get this benefit. 5%
3 Defence / Police This scholarship on tuition fee will be given to the ward of various Defence Personnel who are currently serving in the Indian Armed and Paramilitary Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force, CRPF, CISF & BSF) and Police Directorate. (Attach Proof). 15%
4 Martyr This Scholarship on tuition fee will be given to those students who have lost their father/mother during their service either in War, Counter Insurgency Operations or Govt. Operations. (Attach Proof). 100%

Note: The scholarships of Category-A, B & C (for Long Term Courses) can be clubbed. However, in Short Term Courses, a student can avail concession mentioned in Category-B & C only.
